Rafale's 'Brother' Sukhoi Su-30 to Roar Over Sea in Joint Exercise

• Indian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-30 MKI will participate in a joint exercise with the Royal Thailand Air Force's Gripen aircraft near Andaman on February 9.
• The exercise aims to enhance coordination and share best practices between the air forces of India and Thailand.
• India will deploy 4-6 Sukhoi-30s, along with mid-air refueler tankers and AWACS; Thailand will deploy an equal number of Gripens.
• The exercise will test logistical endurance in island territories and include search and rescue operations at sea.
• Defense cooperation between India and Thailand is growing, with a MoU signed in 2012 covering joint exercises, maritime patrols, and training.
