Srinagar Cyber Fraud Busted: International Racket Targeting US, UK, Canada Exposed

• A high-tech international cyber fraud racket was busted in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, by a CIK-CID special team.
• Seven suspects were apprehended, and a large quantity of digital equipment, including 13 mobile phones and 9 laptops, was seized.
• The syndicate used VoIP systems, international virtual numbers, and spoofing to target victims in the USA, UK, and Canada.
• Victims were defrauded through fake Yahoo Mail websites and Google ads, tricked into believing their bank or device was compromised.
• Fraudulently obtained money, estimated at several crores, was circulated via digital wallets and cryptocurrencies like USDT to obscure its origin.
