West Bengal Elections: Record Paramilitary Deployment, 480 Companies Arrive

Largest ever deployment of central paramilitary forces for West Bengal elections planned.

Over 500 companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed; 480 have already reached the state.
•
Forces including CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, and Assam Rifles will be present throughout the entire election process.

Deployment will occur in two phases on March 1 and March 10, 2026, covering all 8 districts of North Bengal.
