Indian Railways Deploys AI to Revolutionize Train Toilet Cleanliness

• Project Engineer Laxman Jain confirmed that AI-based cleanliness monitoring has commenced as a pilot project on 100 trains nationwide.
• Cleaning staff must use a mobile application to upload 'before' and 'after' pictures of toilets, along with their presence, for AI analysis.
• The AI system evaluates images to ensure cleaning meets required standards and can alert staff or recommend penalties for non-compliance.
• Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that AC First Class cleanliness standards will now be extended to general class coaches.
