Bareilly College: From 1837 Legacy to Central University Dream, 18,000 Futures at Stake

Bareilly College, established in 1837, is one of Uttar Pradesh's oldest and most prestigious educational institutions.

It played a significant role in the Indian freedom struggle, educating many freedom fighters.

Currently, the college has 39 departments, 18,000 students, and strong faculty, with sufficient land and infrastructure.

Demand for Central University status is growing, as there is no Central University between Delhi and Lucknow.

Local MLA Sanjeev Agarwal has raised the issue in the Assembly, hoping to benefit thousands of students in the Bareilly division.
