Bithoor's Jyoti School: 33 Years of Hope, Empowering 170 Deaf and Mute Children

Jyoti Deaf and Dumb School in Bithoor, Kanpur, has been transforming the lives of 170 deaf and mute children for 33 years.

Founded by Ramesh Chandra Dixit in 1991, the school provides education from pre-primary to 12th grade, free of charge.
•
It offers modern facilities including smart classes, hostel accommodation, bus service, and special educators using sign language.
•
Beyond academics, the school focuses on vocational training in leather products, computer skills, and appliance repair to ensure self-reliance.
•
The 78-year-old founder, Ramesh Chandra Dixit, continues to dedicate his life, funding the school through donations and personal savings.
