GRP Nabs Passenger with Rs 16 Lakh Hawala Money at DDU Railway Station

• RPF and GRP intensified search operations at railway stations due to upcoming festivals.
• A suspicious passenger with a heavy bag tried to flee when questioned by GRP at DDU Railway Station.
• Upon opening the bag, Rs 16 lakh in hawala money was recovered from the passenger.
• The money was being transported from Varanasi towards Dehri On Son in Bihar, intended for West Bengal.
• The Income Tax Department has been informed and will take further action as the passenger lacked proper documentation.
