• Farhat Ansari challenged the attachment of her Lucknow residence by the Ghazipur district administration under the Gangster Act.
• The Ghazipur Gangster Court had previously ruled on April 7, 2025, that the house was not acquired through gangster activities and ordered its release within 30 days.
• Despite the Gangster Court's order, the DM Ghazipur did not release the property, prompting Farhat Ansari to approach the High Court.
• The house in Lucknow was attached by the Ghazipur DM on October 23, 2022, under Section 14(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act.
