High Court Stays Arrest of Qazi in KGMU Conversion Case, Calls Govt Argument False
•
The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of Qazi Syed Zahid Hasan Rana.
•
Rana is accused of converting Dr. Rameez Malik's wife and solemnizing their Nikah.
•
The High Court ordered no coercive action against the Qazi until the next hearing and sought a counter-affidavit from the state government.

•
The High Court found the state government's argument 'prima facie false' as neither the wife nor her parents filed an FIR for forced conversion.
