• Lakhimpur Kheri administration has identified 15 high-risk locations, including High-Risk Corridors, High-Density Corridors, and Critical Junctions, due to a high number of accidents and traffic violations over the last three years.
• Modern electronic devices such as ANPR cameras, speed detection cameras, AI-based traffic violation systems, red light detectors, and CCTV will be installed at these locations to enhance road safety.
• Strict action will be taken against traffic rule violators, and the new technology will help identify and act against drivers who flee after accidents, improving dispute resolution.
• High-risk areas include Sisaiya intersection (Dhaurahra), Pandit Deendayal intersection (Sadar Kotwali), Gomti Mod (Mohammadi), Lalpur Barrier Tiraaha (Sadar Kotwali), and Manika Tiraaha (Phardhan), which have seen significant accidents and fatalities.
• High-density areas like LRP intersection (Lakhimpur city) and critical junctions such as Mahewaganj Tiraaha, Rajapur intersection, Sunsi Mod Oyal, and Chhauch intersection will also receive safety upgrades.
