• Uttar Pradesh's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process for voter lists has been extended by 15 days to re-verify deceased, shifted, and absent voters.
• The draft voter list for UP will now be published on December 31.
• Claims and objections for the UP voter list can be filed from December 31 until January 30, 2026.
• The final voter list for Uttar Pradesh is scheduled for publication on February 28.
• The Election Commission also extended SIR deadlines for five other states and one union territory, including Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
