ECI revises SIR deadlines for 6 states/UTs; new voter list dates announced

• ECI revised the last dates for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in 6 states/UTs based on requests from Chief Electoral Officers.
• Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andaman & Nicobar, and Uttar Pradesh have extended enumeration periods and revised draft voter list publication dates.
• For these 6 regions, the enumeration period now extends up to December 2025, with draft lists published later in December 2025.
• Goa, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan, and West Bengal's enumeration ended on Dec 11, 2025, with draft lists due Dec 16, 2025.
• New voters are encouraged to apply via Form 6, BLOs, or the ECINet app/website; the final voter list will be published in February 2026.

Why It Matters: ECI changed voter form submission deadlines for many states/UTs.
