Ranipur Tiger Reserve to get 3 new grasslands: Boost for wildlife & tourism

Three new grasslands to be developed in Ranipur Tiger Reserve, Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
•
Aims to provide abundant food for herbivores like deer, chital, sambar, and nilgai, increasing their population.
•
Project approved with 15 lakh rupees, each grassland spanning 20 hectares in Hanua, Bargad, and Manikpur forest areas.
•
DFO Pratyush Kumar Katiyar states it will keep tigers within the reserve by ensuring a steady food supply, preventing return to Panna Tiger Reserve.
•
Expected to significantly boost tourism and wildlife population, building on success seen in areas like Chauri.
