Ranipur Tiger Reserve to get 3 new grasslands: Boost for wildlife & tourism

•Three new grasslands to be developed in Ranipur Tiger Reserve, Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
•Aims to provide abundant food for herbivores like deer, chital, sambar, and nilgai, increasing their population.
•Project approved with 15 lakh rupees, each grassland spanning 20 hectares in Hanua, Bargad, and Manikpur forest areas.
•DFO Pratyush Kumar Katiyar states it will keep tigers within the reserve by ensuring a steady food supply, preventing return to Panna Tiger Reserve.
•Expected to significantly boost tourism and wildlife population, building on success seen in areas like Chauri.
