Bihar's VTR to Become Eco-Tourism Hub: Enhanced Facilities, Rare Creatures Spotted

•Gaurav Ojha takes charge as new Chief of Forest at Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR), Bihar's sole tiger reserve.
•VTR, spread over 900 sq km, will enhance tourist facilities under eco-tourism, including safaris to see Royal Bengal Tigers.
•Saraiya Man Wildlife Sanctuary, a Ramsar site, will also be promoted for eco-tourism to boost local economy.
•Special attention on patrolling due to VTR's proximity to Suhagibarwa (UP) and Chitwan National Park (Nepal) for animal safety.
•VTR is home to rare creatures like tigers, leopards, black panthers, hyenas, wolves, sloth bears, and Himalayan serows.
