Bihar's VTR to Become Eco-Tourism Hub: Enhanced Facilities, Rare Creatures Spotted

Gaurav Ojha takes charge as new Chief of Forest at Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR), Bihar's sole tiger reserve.
•
VTR, spread over 900 sq km, will enhance tourist facilities under eco-tourism, including safaris to see Royal Bengal Tigers.
•
Saraiya Man Wildlife Sanctuary, a Ramsar site, will also be promoted for eco-tourism to boost local economy.
•
Special attention on patrolling due to VTR's proximity to Suhagibarwa (UP) and Chitwan National Park (Nepal) for animal safety.
•
VTR is home to rare creatures like tigers, leopards, black panthers, hyenas, wolves, sloth bears, and Himalayan serows.
