• Ghanshyam Babu Singh, a retired executive engineer in Chitrakoot, was defrauded of ₹41.49 lakh by cyber fraudsters.
• Fraudsters posed as police, ATS, and NIA, claiming Singh's account was linked to terrorist activities and threatening "digital arrest."
• They brainwashed him into believing he was involved, forcing him to stay on calls and not inform family.
• Under immense fear, Singh transferred ₹40 lakh from Punjab & Sind Bank and an additional ₹1.49 lakh for "file clearance."
• His son, Vijay Kumar, discovered the fraud when checking the bank passbook; SP Arun Kumar Singh initiated an investigation and warned the public.
