•This action follows the state's failure to implement the Supreme Court's February 5 directive to pay outstanding dearness allowance.
•Legal notices were previously sent to West Bengal's Chief Secretary and Finance Secretary on February 13.
•The Supreme Court had ordered the payment of 25% outstanding DA by March 6 and a committee to decide on the remaining 75%.
•BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar supports employees, promising central rates DA if BJP forms government.
