Long Wait Ends: Modern Fire Station Construction Begins in Belda-Narayanagar
•
Construction of a modern fire station has commenced in Salajpur, Narayanagarh block, West Medinipur.
•
The state government has allocated nearly 4 crore rupees (3,70,57,290) for the project.
•
Previously, the region relied on fire services from Kharagpur (50 km away) or Jaleswar, Odisha, leading to delayed response and increased damage.
•
Land was identified and a boundary wall built in 2017, but work stalled until recent state government initiative.
•
Narayanagarh MLA Suryakanta Atta stated the station will benefit Narayanagarh, Keshiary, and Dantan, ensuring a safer future for the region.
