Final Voter Lists Out: 6.26 Lakh Names Removed in Kolkata, 7 Lakh Statewide Deletions

•Hard copies of the SIR final list are reaching most districts, with gradual publication underway.
•Approximately 6.26 lakh voter names were removed from Kolkata, a significant blow to the city's voter count.
•District-wise removals include 4.07 lakh in North Kolkata, 1.35 lakh in Bankura, and 2.71 lakh in Nadia.
•Other districts saw removals such as 11,692 in Alipurduar, 54,030 in Jhargram, and 23,179 in Darjeeling.
•The Election Commission confirmed a total of 7 lakh voter names removed across the state in the deleted category.
