EPFO to Launch UPI-Based Withdrawals for Faster PF Access

• EPFO is set to introduce a new mobile app and portal window for near real-time UPI-based PF withdrawals.
• Subscribers can instantly withdraw up to 75% of their EPF balance, credited directly to linked bank accounts.
• The new system aims to cut withdrawal times from 3-4 days to near real-time, easing EPFO's administrative burden.
• Transactions will be authenticated via UPI PIN, with funds routed through the UPI payment gateway.
• Trials are underway, and existing platforms (UAN portal, UMANG app) will continue to operate alongside the new service.
