EPFO to Allow Instant UPI Withdrawals by April 2026: Big Relief for Employees

• EPFO to introduce instant money withdrawals via UPI through a new mobile app by April 2026.
• Employees can withdraw funds for illness, marriage, education, or home needs within 3 days, without claim forms.
• The new system aims to simplify PF withdrawals, making it as easy as bank transfers using a UPI PIN.
• A transaction limit of Rs 25,000 per withdrawal is expected, with 25% of the balance remaining locked for post-retirement security.
• Currently being tested on 100 dummy accounts, this upgrade will reduce claim processing burden and speed up services for 8 crore members.
