Bengaluru to Goa in 13 Hours: New Vande Bharat Express Soon

• A new Vande Bharat Express is likely to connect Bengaluru and Goa, reducing travel time to around 13 hours.
• South Western Railway (SWR) has submitted its proposal to the Railway Board for approval.
• The train will operate between Yesvantpur (Bengaluru) and Madgaon (Goa) via the Mangaluru railway region.
• Proposed timetable: departs Yesvantpur at 6:05 am, arrives Madgaon at 7:15 pm; return leg departs Madgaon at 5:30 am, arrives Yesvantpur at 6:40 pm.
• Trial runs with two Vande Bharat rakes equipped with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) will precede the launch, pending OHE certification on the Hassan–Thokur section.
