IMD Kalbaishakhi Alert: Storms, Hail, Heavy Rain to Lash Bengal; Alipore Issues Warning

• Kalbaishakhi-like conditions expected today in several districts of Bengal with storms up to 60 kmph and hailstones.
• Heavy rain and hailstones are forecast for North Bengal, with very heavy rain (up to 200 mm) in Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar.
• South Bengal districts like Purba Bardhaman, Hooghly, Bankura, Purulia, Nadia, Murshidabad to experience gusty winds (50-60 kmph) and hailstones.
• Rain activity will decrease on Sunday, but storms and rain with lightning will increase again from Friday.
• A low-pressure trough from Jammu and Kashmir to Chhattisgarh, combined with Bay of Bengal moisture, is causing the weather.
