Holi Special Trains: Indian Railways Adds 5 New Routes, 1500 Services Planned

• Indian Railways to run 1500 special trains this year for Holi, up from 1144 last year.
• Northeast Frontier Railway introduces five new pairs of special trains to manage festive rush.
• Routes include Narengi-Gorakhpur, Katihar-Amritsar, Dibrugarh-Jaynagar, New Jalpaiguri-Muzaffarpur, and Kishanganj-Lalkuan.
• Each special train will operate six trips in both directions from February to March 2026.
• New Jalpaiguri-Muzaffarpur special train (05740/05739) will run every Saturday.
