Hussainiwala: India's Last Railway Station, Trains Arrive Only Two Days a Year
•Hussainiwala Railway Station in Firozpur, Punjab, near the India-Pakistan border, is unique for receiving trains only twice a year.
•Historically, this 1885 railway line connected Firozpur to Lahore and Peshawar, serving as a vital gateway before partition.
•Post-1947 partition and the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the railway line beyond Hussainiwala was destroyed, making it India's last railway point.
•Special DMU trains arrive on March 23 (Martyrdom Day of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru) and April 13 (Baisakhi) for visitors to the National Martyrs Memorial.
•Beyond its railway function, Hussainiwala is a historical site, a reminder of partition, and hosts a border retreat ceremony, attracting tourists and patriots.
