Adivasi Women Protest Basirhat Hospital's Poor Services with Bows, Arrows

Adivasi women and community members protested in Basirhat against inadequate medical services at Basirhat District Hospital.

Protesters marched in traditional attire, carrying bows, arrows, and tridents, accompanied by Dhamsa-Madal drums.
•
They alleged doctors are often absent, and nurses lack cooperation, causing immense suffering to patients and relatives.
•
The demand procession, led by Adivasi leader Sukumar Sardar, started from Boatghat and reached Basirhat Super Specialty Hospital.

A mass deputation was submitted to the hospital Superintendent, who assured investigation and necessary action; police maintained order.
