Hooghly Bridge Shut 12 Hours Sunday for Repairs; Check Alternative Routes!
•Second Hooghly Bridge (Vidyasagar Setu) to close for 12 hours on Sunday, March 15, from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM for long-term repair work, including cable and bearing replacement.
•All vehicular traffic suspended; goods vehicles resume at 9:00 PM. Notifications issued by Howrah City Police and Kolkata Police.
•Alternative routes for vehicles from Medinipur, Hooghly, and other states: Nivedita Setu and Rabindra Setu (Howrah Bridge).
•Passenger vehicles to Kolkata can use Rabindra Setu, Nivedita Setu, and Vivekananda Setu (old Bally Bridge).
