Purulia Forest Department Boosts Wildlife Protection, Creates Rural Jobs Ahead of Sendra

Purulia Forest Department implements new measures for wildlife protection and forest conservation ahead of the traditional Sendra festival.

324 naka checkposts have been set up across 18 beat areas in Purulia district, including Ayodhya, Ranga, and Baghmundi, for 24-hour surveillance.
•
These checkposts aim to prevent poaching, curb forest fires, and raise awareness among the public about environmental protection.
•
DFO Anjan Guha confirms the establishment of RRT (Rapid Response Team) and QRT (Quick Response Team) for effective response.
•
Rural youth are employed in these RRT and QRT teams, providing local employment and ensuring community-led forest and wildlife protection.
