Double Western Disturbance Threat: Hail, Heavy Rain, Snowfall Alert Issued

• Two new Western Disturbances are set to impact the Western Himalayan region, starting February 5 and February 8, 2026.
• A cyclonic circulation over North Pakistan and Punjab, and another over northeast Punjab, are currently active.
• Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will see widespread rain and snowfall on February 3.
• Uttar Pradesh is forecast to experience light rain, lightning, strong winds, and hailstones in eastern parts on February 3, 2026.
• Dense to very dense fog alerts are issued for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh until February 5.
