Indian men’s football team coach and players denied entry to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi for a press conference.
•
The incident occurred because the Kerala Football Association failed to pay a mandatory security deposit to the stadium owners.
•
The dispute is between the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA), stadium owners, and the Kerala Football Association.
•
The press conference, ahead of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers fixture against Hong Kong, was called off.
•
This is not the first such incident involving GCDA; Kerala Blasters FC also faced similar disruption previously.
