Bombay HC Judge Duped of ₹6.02 Lakh in Credit Card Reward Points Scam

A sitting Bombay High Court judge was defrauded of ₹6.02 lakh while attempting to redeem credit card reward points.
•
She contacted a fake customer service number found online after failing to reach the bank's official line.
•
A fraudster sent an 18-MB file via WhatsApp, claiming it was necessary for redemption, and advised using an Android device.
•
After entering credit card details on a form linked to the file, multiple transactions totaling ₹6.02 lakh were swiftly deducted.
•
The judge promptly blocked her card, reported the incident to NCCRP, and filed a complaint at Cuffe Parade police station.
