Gas Connection Scam: Merchant Loses Rs 14 Lakhs to Cybercriminal in Thane

•Thane cloth merchant Arun More defrauded of Rs 14,46,989 in a gas connection scam.
•A cybercriminal, identifying as Dinesh Joshi from a gas company, threatened to disconnect More's gas supply.
•More was instructed to perform online transactions for "technical procedures" to keep his connection active.
•Money was debited from his account through 8 transactions while he followed the scammer's instructions.
•A case has been registered at Tilaknagar Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
