Air India Resumes Jeddah, Muscat Flights; Expands Asia Network with New Routes

Air India resumes scheduled flights to Jeddah and Muscat after airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman are deemed safe for operations.

Additional ad-hoc flights to Dubai, Muscat, and Ras Al-Khaimah will operate on March 6 to bring stranded passengers back to India.

The airline announced new non-stop services: Delhi-Hanoi (5x weekly from May 1) and Mumbai-Tokyo (Haneda) (4x weekly) starting in the June quarter.
•
Delhi-Hanoi route uses Airbus A320neo, offering "open-jaw" itineraries; Mumbai-Tokyo uses Boeing 787-8, supplementing existing services.
•
Expansion is driven by Japan and Vietnam's growth as destinations for Indian travelers and deepening economic ties, stated CCO Nipun Aggarwal.
