• Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla represented India at the swearing-in ceremony in Dhaka.
• BNP secured 209 out of 297 seats in the Bangladesh Parliament; Jamaat-e-Islami won 68 seats.
• The ceremony was held at the South Plaza of the Parliament Complex for the first time.
• 25 ministers and 24 state ministers also took oath, with many new faces in the cabinet.
