10 Maoists with Rs 1.15 Cr Bounty Surrender to Odisha Police in Kandhamal

Ten Maoists, including CPI(Maoist) State Committee Member Sanu Pottam alias Nitu, surrendered in Kandhamal district, Odisha.
•
The surrendered rebels carried a combined bounty of Rs 1.15 crore, with Nitu alone having a Rs 55 lakh reward.
•
They handed over a significant cache of firearms, including INSAS and self-loading rifles, to senior police officers.
•
Odisha Police stated the surrender reflects the weakening influence of Left-wing extremism and successful sustained operations.
•
The Maoists will receive over Rs 1.65 crore under the state's Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy, including financial aid and vocational training.
