103 Animals, Including 3 Tigers, to Relocate to Jharkhand's Palamau Reserve from MP
•
Jharkhand's Palamau Tiger Reserve (PTR) expects NTCA nod this month for relocating 103 animals from Madhya Pradesh.
•
The relocation includes 3 tigers (2 tigresses, 1 tiger), 50 bison, and 50 sambar deer to augment declining populations.
•
The process, involving an MoU with Madhya Pradesh, is planned to begin after the summer season.
•
PTR, which had only one tiger as per 2023 AITE, aims to boost its big cat numbers and revive its bison population.
•
Enclosures are being prepared in PTR for the animals to acclimatize before release into the forest.
