8 Cheetahs from Africa Arrive at Kuno National Park, Boosting India's Revival Program

Eight new cheetahs, six females and two males from Botswana, arrived at Kuno National Park (KNP) in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
•
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav released the big cats into enclosures.
•
This is the third batch of cheetahs, increasing India's total count to 46, with a goal to reach 50 soon.
•
The cheetahs will undergo a month-long quarantine in specially prepared enclosures at KNP.
•
The program aims to revive the cheetah population in India, which became extinct nearly seven decades ago.
