Arunachal ASI Trampled to Death by Wild Elephant During Outing

Assistant Sub-Inspector Martin Lego (40) of Sunpura police station was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Lohit district, Arunachal Pradesh.
•
The incident occurred on Saturday morning around 10:30 am when Lego and two friends were at the Lohit riverbank for an outing.
•
While his friends escaped, Lego was attacked by the elephant.
•
An unnatural death case has been registered, and the body was handed over to his family after post-mortem.
•
Authorities are issuing advisories for villagers to avoid forested and riverine areas, and efforts will be made to locate and capture the elephant.
