EC to Host National Conference with State Poll Panels After 27 Years

• SECs are independent bodies created by states to conduct panchayat and municipal elections, separate from the EC.
• Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will chair the conference, joined by Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, along with CEOs from all 36 states and UTs.
