Himachal Slashes Power Tariff by One Paisa Per Unit for All Consumers

• Himachal Pradesh government to reduce power tariff by one paisa per unit for all electricity consumers in FY27.
• New rates will be effective from April 1, 2026, as per the Tariff Order issued by HPERC.
• Average cost of supply for HPSEBL estimated at Rs 6.75 per unit for FY27, a reduction from Rs 6.76 per unit in FY26.
• Tariff for lifeline consumers (up to 60 units) set at Rs 4.71 per unit; domestic consumers (1-125 units) at Rs 5.44 per unit.
• Various tariffs set for commercial, industrial, agricultural, railway, EV charging, and bulk supply categories.
