IAF Su-30MKI Crash in Assam: Both Pilots Killed, Identities Confirmed

Two IAF pilots, Squadron Leader Anuj and Flight Lieutenant Purvesh Duragkar, died in a Su-30MKI fighter jet crash in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
•
The Russian-origin aircraft went missing after taking off from Jorhat airbase on a training sortie on Thursday.
•
Communication with the jet was lost at 7:42 pm on Thursday, and the crash was confirmed early Friday morning.
•
The IAF expressed sincere condolences to the bereaved families.
•
Su-30MKI is a two-seater multirole long-range fighter jet, built under license by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) for the IAF.
