Two IAF Pilots Killed in Su-30 MKI Crash in Assam's Karbi Anglong

Two IAF pilots died in a Su-30 MKI fighter jet crash in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
•
The Su-30MKI, on a training mission, crashed approximately 60 km from Jorhat on Thursday.
•
Sqn Ldr Anuj and Flt Lt Purvesh Duragkar sustained fatal injuries in the incident.
•
The Su-30MKI is a two-seater multirole fighter jet developed by Sukhoi and built under licence by HAL.
•
IAF operates over 260 Su-30MKI jets; previous crashes occurred in Nashik (June 2024) and Gwalior (January 2023).
