India-Japan Boost Economic Ties at 7th CEPA Meet in Tokyo
•The 7th India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) Joint Committee Meeting was held in Tokyo on March 2.
•Co-chaired by Rajesh Agrawal (Secretary, Department of Commerce) and Japan's Senior Deputy Minister, the meeting reviewed CEPA implementation and discussed strengthening bilateral economic engagement.
•Agrawal met METI Vice Minister, emphasizing diversified trade, investment, and leveraging economic complementarities between the two nations.
•He highlighted India's export potential in textiles, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and services to Japan, stressing the need for a balanced trade relationship.
•A Trade and Investment Roadshow, organized by the Embassy of India, CII, and Keidanren, promoted India's conducive policy environment and CEPA's stable framework.
