IPS Sunil Naik Questioned in K Raghurama Krishna Raju Custodial Torture Case

IPS officer M Sunil Kumar Naik questioned by Andhra Pradesh Police regarding alleged custodial torture of Deputy Speaker K Raghurama Krishna Raju.
•
Naik, a Bihar cadre officer, was interrogated for seven hours on Thursday in Guntur.
•
He served as DIG of CID during the previous YSRCP government and 'supervised' Raju's 2021 arrest.
•
Raju was arrested for alleged derogatory remarks against then CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and later claimed police torture.
•
After the TDP-led NDA government took office in 2024, Raju filed cases against officials and the former CM over the alleged torture.
