IUML MLA's Son, Friends Booked for Assault Over Facebook Comment in Kerala

• Case registered against Ameer, son of IUML MLA U A Latheef, and his friends in Manjeri, Kerala.
• They are accused of assaulting Latheef, a Mullampara native, for posting derogatory comments on the MLA's Facebook page.
• The incident occurred on March 3, around 9:45 pm, following an altercation in front of a football turf.
• A counter-case was also filed against the assaulted Latheef for allegedly attacking Nisar with a knife.
• No arrests have been made yet as police continue their investigation, examining CCTV footage.
