Karnataka Court Jails Man for 40 Years RI for Raping Disabled Minor Girl

•Dhareppa alias Dheeraj Angata Khanase sentenced to 40 years rigorous imprisonment for raping a minor girl in Belagavi district.
•Victim is a minor with physical and mental disabilities, belonging to a Scheduled Caste.
•Accused illegally entered her house on August 25, 2025, and forcibly committed the sexual offense.
•Sentence includes 30 years RI under POCSO Act and 10 years RI under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, plus fines.
•Fast Track POCSO Court-1 completed the trial in just over four months, delivering the verdict on March 4, 2026.
