Karnataka Court Jails Man 20 Years for Minor Girl's Sexual Assault

•Abubakkar, 50, sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment by a Mangaluru fast-track court.
•Convicted for sexually assaulting a minor girl in his neighbourhood and threatening her.
•Booked under Sections 64(1) (rape), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act.
•Incident occurred on March 29, 2025; a fine of Rs 50,000 was also imposed.
•Investigation led by Police Inspector Shivakumar B; Special Public Prosecutor Sahana Devi argued the case.
