Kerala Cabinet Approves Enhanced Wildlife Attack Relief, New Film Policy

• Kerala Cabinet approved draft guidelines for financial assistance to victims of wildlife attacks from Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
• Families of those killed in wildlife attacks will receive Rs 14 lakh (Rs 4 lakh SDRF + Rs 10 lakh Forest Dept).
• Victims of snake, bee, or hornet attacks will get Rs 4 lakh from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
• Compensation for injuries ranges from Rs 2 lakh for 40-60% disability to Rs 2.5 lakh for over 60% disability.
• The cabinet also approved the Kerala State Film Policy, featuring 92 recommendations to strengthen the state's film industry.
