Kerala Urges Centre to Boost Non-Domestic LPG Quota Amid Shortage

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan chaired a high-level meeting to address the shortage of non-domestic LPG cylinders.
•
The state will request the Centre to increase its non-domestic LPG quota, citing a large number of migrant workers and growing demand.
•
State and district-level monitoring committees, along with a dashboard system, will be formed to track LPG consumption and distribution.
•
Hospitals, old-age homes, schools, community kitchens, IT park canteens, factory canteens, and crematoriums will receive priority in LPG supply.
•
Enforcement teams will intensify inspections to prevent the misuse of domestic cylinders for commercial purposes.
