•A 36-year-old man, Pankaj Thakur, booked for allegedly raping a married woman in Ballia's Bairia area.
•Incident occurred on March 9 when the 35-year-old victim went to a field near her house.
•Accused allegedly threatened the woman with further assault if she reported the incident.
•Thakur later threatened the victim's father-in-law with shooting if police were approached.
•Case registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita; efforts on to arrest the accused.
