Man gets 10 years for sexually assaulting 13-year-old boy in Thane

• Vicky, alias Gudya Datta Thorat (34), sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment by a Thane fast-track court.
• Convicted for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy in a public toilet in Ulhasnagar on September 8, 2018.
• Judge V A Patravale also imposed a fine of Rs 31,000, to be paid to the minor.
• Court relied on the boy's "cogent, reliable, convincing and trustworthy" oral testimony, rejecting defence claims.
• Thorat was convicted under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
